Al-Ahqaf (Arabic: الأحقاف, al-aḥqāf; signifying: "the sand ridges" or "the winding sand parcels") is the 46th section (surah) of the Qur'an with 35 stanzas (ayat). This is the seventh and last part beginning with the Muqattaʿat letters Hāʼ Mīm. As to timing and context oriented foundation of the trusted disclosure (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is one of the late Meccan sections, with the exception of stanza 10 and potentially a couple of others which Muslims accept were uncovered in Medina.
