The sura portrays annihilation of distrusting people groups: the Old Egyptians, individuals of Iram of the Support points, and Mada'in Saleh. It denounces the individuals who love abundance and look with scorn upon poor people and vagrants. Equitable individuals are guaranteed Heaven - the last section says "And enter you My Heaven!". The Surah is so assigned after the word wal-fajr with which it opens.
