Al-Jinn (Arabic: الجن, "The Jinn") is the 72nd part (sūrah) of the Quran with 28 sections (āyāt). The name as well as the subject of this part is jinn. Like heavenly messengers, the jinn are creatures undetectable to the exposed natural eye. In the Quran, it is expressed in that people are made from the earth and jinn from smokeless fire.
