Luqman (Arabic: لقمان, romanized: luqmān) is the 31st section (sūrah) of the Islamic blessed book, the Qur'an. It is made out of 34 stanzas (āyāt) and takes its title from the notice of the sage Luqman and his recommendation to his child in refrains 12-19. As per Islamic conventional sequence (asbāb al-nuzūl), it was uncovered in Muhammad's Meccan period, and is hence generally named a Meccan sura.
