Al-Qadr (Arabic: القدر, "Power, Destiny") is the 97th part (sūrah) of the Qur'an, with 5 āyāt or stanzas. It is a Meccan surah[2] which praises the night when the primary disclosure of what might turn into the Qur'an was sent down. The section has been so assigned after the word al-qadr in the main refrain. It is mostly about power.
