Al-Furqan (Arabic: الفرقان, 'al-furqān; meaning: The Standard) is the 25th section (sūrah) of the Qur'an with 77 refrains (āyāt). The name Al-Furqan, or "The Standard" alludes to the Qur'an itself as the unequivocal element among great and malevolence. This Surah is named Al-Furqan from the word showing up in the first ayat.
