Ash-Shu‘ara’(Arabic: الشعراء, 'debris shu'arā'; meaning: The Writers) is the 26th section (sūrah) of the Qurʾan with 227 stanzas (āyāt). A significant number of these stanzas are exceptionally short. The part is named from the word Debris Shu'ara in ayat 224.
