Surah Qalam (Arabic: القلم, al-qalam) is the sixty-eighth part (sūrah) of the Qur'an with 52 stanzas (āyāt). Quran 68 depicts God's equity and the day of atonement. Three outstanding subjects of this Surah are its reaction to the adversaries' protests, cautioning and rebuke to the doubters, and appeal of persistence to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Sequentially, this was the main appearance of any of the "disconnected" letters (muqattaat) which go before some of the surahs of the Qur'an, while in Quranic request this is the last surah to resemble muqattaat
