Al-Qamar (Arabic: القمر, romanized: al-qamar, lit. 'The Moon') is the 54th section (surah) of the Quran, with 55 stanzas (ayat). The initial stanzas allude to the parting of the moon. "Qamar" (قمر), signifying "Moon" in Arabic, is likewise a typical name among Muslims.
