Al-Maʻārij (Arabic: المعارج, "The Rising Flights of stairs") is the 70th part (sūrah) of the Qur'an, with 44 stanzas (āyāt). The Surah takes its name from the word dhil Ma'arij[1] in the third ayah. The word shows up two times in the Quran. Abdullah Yusuf Ali, an Indian Islamic researcher, presents the surah as "... one more Islamic eschatology Surah firmly associated in topic with the final remaining one. Tolerance and the secret of Time will show the ways that climb the Paradise. Sin and Goodness should each at last come to its own."
