Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف, al-kahf; meaning: The Cavern) is the eighteenth part (sūrah) of the Quran with 110 stanzas (āyāt). As to timing and relevant foundation of the disclosure (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is a prior "Meccan surah", and that implies it was uncovered in Mecca, rather than Medina.
